HOME: Welcome

TALOFA LAVA, KIA ORA, WELCOME

Our College has its formation in the years before 1968 when the doors first opened.

It was obvious that the growing population in Porirua needed a strong Catholic Secondary school to serve the needs of the community. The Assumptionist Fathers and Brigidine Sisters led the way and were our founding orders.

Although Porirua has changed a great deal over the past 50 years, our desire to serve the needs of our community hasn’t. The ever-changing future is full of potential and we are charged with preparing our students for a future that we don’t know the limits of while being sure to instil them with the basic values and strengths of our families/whanau/aiga. This is an exciting time to be in education!

We are starting to define ourselves by the characteristics that we know our families have, this was our students have a connection between home and school.

We are a college of hope, ambition and hard work.

We are a college of faith, service, and determination.

We are a college of purpose, resilience, and excellence.

We are Viard.
