CHRISTIAN WITNESS
Does Bishop Viard College provide a hope-filled Christian witness which empowers its community members to integrate their faith and their life?
CATHOLIC SCHOOL COMMUNITY
There are several opportunities to share with the parish community. The parish priest supports the school and the different events it runs.
PARTNERSHIP AND COLLABORATION
During Maori Language Week students attend Mass with the parishioners of Te Ngakau Tapu and this year they shared a meal with the congregation as a way of building relations and learning from the kaumatua. Our Brigidine Sister Anne participates in the life of the college on regular occasions.
TE TIRITI O WAITANGI
We are committed to creating an authentic Catholic community that demonstrates a strong commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi/The Treaty of Waitangi, reflecting the commitment of the Aotearoa New Zealand Catholic Church to bicultural partnership?
PASTORAL CARE
We strive to ensure that education occurs in a safe, nurturing environment supported by a strong pastoral care network in which each member of the community is known, respected, cared for and aware that they are loved unconditionally by God?
SERVICE AND OUTREACH
Recognising that each person is called as a Christian to take care of others and to work for justice and equality, Bishop Viard College values service and each student is required to complete a set amount of hours in service.
