Whanau

Whanau

Our School has four Whanau Whare led by a Whanau Leader (Dean) – Assumptionist, Brigidine, Cardinal and Diocesan.  Each Whare competes with pride for house points.  Our Whanau classes are separated into Junior classes Year 7-10, and Senior classes Year 11-13.  This time allows teachers to mentor students and monitor attendance and uniform.

Our pastoral care is a school-wide commitment that is intended to help develop positive attitudes for our learners about themselves and what they can achieve.  We model values based on the Gospel values of truth, love, respect, service, and forgiveness. We nurture these values in our students to continue the journey as life-long learners and members of Christ’s church.

Being a small school with a lot of heart means that staff get to know your child as an individual,  not just a number.  We value the people we teach and nurture here at Bishop Viard College. We are a family in Christ.
