Education at Bishop Viard College


The curriculum is planned to build the skills necessary for life in the 21st Century.

The courses are designed to build self-confidence and a sound skill base for students from a range of backgrounds and individual capacity.

Bishop Viard College prepares students for the senior school qualifications of NCEA (Levels 1,2 and 3). Selected students may also be prepared for Level 4 Scholarship examinations.

The College is also accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority to teach a wide range of unit standards that can form part of students' National Certificate of Achievement or contribute to National Certificates in Industry that students may complete through later tertiary or apprenticeship studies.

English for speakers of other Languages is available to students at all levels.
